What You’ll Learn:

  • Why acquiring or maintaining Back Chain Dominance behavior is your edge in forward locomotive sports.

  • Back Chain Dominance promotes a spine that’s long & decompressed, able to fight gravity more soundly than Front Chain Dominance.

  • The backside muscles, the posterior side of the body, aka Back Chain Dominance behavior can always be built more enduring, stronger, & explosive than Front Chain Dominance movement.

  • How to make every rep in each exercise you do target the back side of the body.

The difference between being Front Chain Dominant & Back Chain Dominant in life, in sports, and mentally.FREE WEBINAR – BACK CHAIN DOMINANCE, YOUR VITAL EDGE

Pain is limiting. Imagine life without limits.

Here’s a list of a few forward locomotive sports:

  • All Running Sports
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Football
  • Golf
  • Gymnastics
  • MMA
  • Soccer
  • Skiing
  • Tennis
  • Volleyball
  • Wrestling

Each sport requires athletes to rotate, move, run, flip, or jump forward. In baseball, if you compete with a backward tilt, you’re beat. Hit that way, and the opposing pitcher will throw you a fastball high and in and then a slider away. You’re beat every time because your upper half is moving backward, away from the ball! What would happen if you’re a football player with a backward tilt and you run into a defender with a forward tilt? You would get trucked.

Let’s look at a few historical athletes who were Back Chain Dominant in their sports.

All these athletes have been slow-motion verified in having Back Chain Dominant behaviors for walking, running, sport, and most resting positions seen on video.

All Running Sports: Florence Griffith Joyner, Usain Bolt,

Baseball: Nolan Ryan, Derek Jeter, Ken Griffey Jr., Willie Mays, Ozzie Smith, Pete Rose, Barry Bonds, Rickey Henderson, Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Tony Gwyn

Basketball: Michael Jordan, Kobe (For Beginning of Career), Ja Morant, Jamal Murray

Fighting Sports: Mike Tyson, Muhammed Ali, Floyd Mayweather, Jackie Chan

Football: Tom Brady, Barry Sanders, Drew Brees, Lamar Jackson, Lawrence Taylor, Deion Sanders, Emmit Smith

Golf: Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Ben Hogan

Gymnastics: Simone Biles

Soccer: Diego Maradona, Pelé,

Tennis: Martina Navratilova, Roger Federer, Serena & Venus Williams (In Prime)

*Notice: They may have had Back Chain Dominant shapes in movement during sport & for a long time after, but present time at age 60 – 80 and even younger, these athletes have lost some of their natural movement behavior & shifted to some front chain dominant behavior.

To understand how Back Chain Dominance training can be your edge, we have to discuss what BCD is & looks like and what is not Back Chain Dominance; what is instead Front Chain Dominance?

So, when we compete in a sport that requires forward locomotion, such as sports with the activities of jumping, running, throwing, swinging, spiking, or kicking, we have to make sure our movement quality holds a rib cage in front of the hips. And our hips stay stacked on top of or behind our ankles.

Now here's an estimate: Only 1% of the population above sixteen has Back Chain Dominant motor behavior. Meaning, that the chair, car seat, reverse movement training, or bad postures influenced more by gravity caused 99% of the remaining population to lose total Back Chain Dominance after age 16. They might have had a forward tilt, but they lacked Back Chain Dominance below the hip, so they did not make the 1%. Yet if they were lucky, kinesthetically gifted enough, committed to playing and staying outside every day, fortunate to pick the proper daily habits, and had the right exercise training, they might have been that 1%. And if so, they found themselves in far less pain and having more athleticism than others. They had more alpha/power physical states than poor body language and far fewer injuries.

On the flip, 99% had consistent behavior of knees over toes (quad-dominant behavior) and/or a neutral spine (perpendicular to the ground) or backward tilt when moving in any form. They had more pain in their bodies, became less powerful, and their bodily functions declined at an earlier age than the 1%.

Let's assess the body real quick. The backside of the body can be developed more extensively, robust, durable, and flexible than the front side. The hammies, calves, lats, and glutes are major muscles in the body. No muscle should be neglected, but the posterior side of the body needs to dominate the front side for a high-quality life moving forward. Yet most athletes who compete in forward locomotive sports have massive quads and struggle with the posterior chain exercises–what they need most!

So, for a sport that requires forward locomotion & Back Chain Dominant behavior and being surrounded by a demographic population stuck in backward locomotion & Front Chain Dominant Behavior, your edge is simple.

Be like the super athletes. Be Back Chain Dominant.

Michael Jordan, Nolan Ryan, Simone Biles.

Athletic. Explosive. Flexible. Dominant. Dynamic. Durable. Repeatable.
